Man and van, across Oxfordshire
Smaller than a full removal, treated with the same care. One or two crew, a van sized to the load, and everything blanketed and strapped rather than thrown in the back.
Not every move needs a four-person crew and a seven-and-a-half tonne lorry. Plenty of them need one van, two people who know how to pack it, and someone who turns up when they said they would.
That is what this service is. It is not a cheaper version of a house removal with the care taken out — the blankets, straps and protection are the same. It is simply scaled to a smaller job.
Honest van sizing
The single most common complaint about man-and-van services anywhere is that the van turns up too small, and then either two trips happen or things get left behind. That comes from quoting off a phone call and a hopeful description.
We ask for photographs, or we do a quick video call. It takes five minutes and it means the vehicle that arrives can actually take what you have. If we think you need a bigger van than you were expecting, we will say so before you book rather than after we arrive.
What we will not pretend
A man-and-van job is priced on time and distance, and both of those are affected by access. Four flights of stairs with no lift is slower than a ground-floor flat with a driveway. We build that into the quote instead of adding it afterwards, which means we need to know about it in advance.
We also will not take hazardous goods — fuel, gas bottles, solvents — in a van with someone's furniture. That is not a policy we bend.
