Oxfordshire Removals County-wide & beyond

About us

A county-wide removals firm

We move households and businesses across the whole of Oxfordshire, out to anywhere in Britain, and on to four European countries by road.

Oxfordshire is a strange county to work in. In the space of fifteen miles you can go from a medieval college staircase to a brand-new estate road that is not on any map yet, and from a Georgian frontage on a market square to a barn at the end of an unmade track.

Almost nothing about those jobs is the same except the principle: find out what the access actually is, bring the right vehicle and the right number of people, and protect what you are carrying.

What we cover

The whole county. Oxford and its suburbs, the Cherwell towns of Banbury and Bicester, the West Oxfordshire Cotswold edge, the Vale of White Horse, and South Oxfordshire down to the Thames and the Chiltern scarp. Seven towns have a page of their own because their access is genuinely distinct; the rest we cover just as readily.

Beyond the county we run long-distance moves anywhere in mainland Britain, and road moves to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Why four countries and not forty

Plenty of removals websites list every country on earth. Most of them are subcontracting almost all of it, and you discover that at the point where something goes wrong at a border and nobody can tell you who is actually holding your furniture.

We run four European routes ourselves, by road. We know the crossings, the customs process for each destination, and the practical delivery problems at the far end — restricted traffic zones in Italy, gated urbanisations in Spain, consulate paperwork for Portugal. That is worth more than a longer list.

What we are not

We are not the cheapest quote you will get, because the cheapest quote is usually the one that has not counted your loft. We are not a broker passing your job to whoever bids lowest. And we do not carry membership badges, awards or ratings we have not earned — if you see a claim on this site, it is one we can stand behind.

How we work

Four things we hold to

Survey before quote, every time

We will not price a household move off a postcode and a bedroom count. It produces a number that is wrong often enough to be dishonest, and the correction always lands on moving day when you have no options left.

Tell you the bad news early

If the wardrobe will not come down the stairs, if the lane will not take a lorry, if the date you want is the worst possible day to attempt it — you hear that at the survey, when you can still do something about it.

Say when we are not the right firm

A single room across town does not need a full removal crew. A concert grand or a serious antique may be better handled by a specialist. Pointing that out costs us the occasional job and is still the right thing to do.

No numbers we cannot stand behind

We do not publish prices before seeing the work, and we do not publish transit times that pretend every route and every load are the same. Your written quote carries the specifics of your move.

Talk to us about your move

No obligation and no pressure. If we are not the right firm for what you need, we will say so.
