Removals in Didcot

Didcot is a railway town that became a science town, and both halves show up in the removals we run here.
A large part of the work is relocation: people arriving for a post at Harwell Campus, Culham or Milton Park, often on a fixed-term research or engineering contract, frequently from abroad, and usually working to a start date that cannot move. That is a different job from a local house sale — it is a move into temporary housing, or into a let, with a container or a storage period in the middle.
The other half is straightforward household moving across Great Western Park, Valley Park, Ladygrove and the older streets near the station.
Estate layouts and relocation timing
Great Western Park and Valley Park are large, still-growing developments with shared parking courts, rear service lanes and a lot of resident parking pressure. On many plots the nearest hard standing is not directly outside the door. We identify the carrying distance in advance because it changes the crew size, and a crew that turns up one person short is how a move overruns.
Ladygrove has mature estate roads and generally good driveway access, with the usual caveat of school-run congestion at either end of the day.
For Science Vale relocations we plan around the start date rather than a completion. That often means collecting from one address, holding goods in storage while a rental is found, and delivering to a second address later. We would rather set that up properly at the quote stage than improvise it.
If you are arriving from overseas, the inbound leg and the UK delivery are two separate pieces of work with two different sets of paperwork. We are clear about which part we are handling so nothing falls between them.

- Great Western Park and Valley Park. Modern layouts, tight turns on the stairs, and parking courts rather than kerbside loading.

- Ladygrove — driveways, garages and lofts, straightforward access.
- Rented and short-let housing
- Common for Science Vale contracts. Inventories and check-out conditions matter, so we pack and protect with that in mind.
- Older railway housing
- The streets near Didcot Parkway, terraced and on-street only.
